I say now is the time to buy. I have been buying the last four years and will continue for at least 4 more dollar cost average the acres. buy at least 80 each year Burdick, while you are to be commended, I’d be careful here, IMO. Unless of course you’re paying cash. Pretty hard to pay too much if that’s the case. But if there’s financing involved, my suggestion would be keep it up, but with bigger gaps between purchases. (Say 3-4 years) My Thoughts are your timeframe may be too compressed to achieve the dollar cost averaging (which is actually acre cost averaging the way you’re dong it) you wish to achieve, unless again of course, you can continue each and every year to buy an 80 and pay cash and never let up for the next thirty years. Good luck to you.Edit too add; there is a big difference between acre cost averaging and dollar cost averaging. They are not one in the same. It’s important to know and learn the difference between the two.
