Maybe your wording should be a bit different?? The tighter the margins the more important they savings from technology or other ways. But at higher prices/margins actually that stuff pays much more return. Example say fungicide. Lets say it cost $17 applied and gets you 10 bushels. At 3.50 corn you would net $18 very important dollars, but at $6 corn it would net you $43. Personally I think every dollar is important no matter the margins.
