Subject: RE: Selling the Carry and Bin ROI

Biggest reason I have grain bins, is the ability to harvest efficiently if not for bins I would have to have a fleet of semi trucks (and help to drive them) to keep up with the combine at harvest, If I had to rely on hauling to the elevator @ harvest would get to be a long slow drawn out process.

As far as selling the carry, the past two years I have sold NOV beans and then rolled to a Jan, between the carry and the basis appreciation I have picked up .25 a bushel per year and only have to store them 45-60 days to get this as my elevator is allowing me to deliver beans the end of November, doing this allows you to pay for bins rather quickly, however my bean bins are all paid for so this is just gravy now.
