Subject: RE: Selling the Carry and Bin ROI

I’m in NE IL. So in all reality if you can get good hedges in place and protect the balance with options the only advantage of bins is easy of harvest and a little more attractive drying and shrink charges?

With capturing the carry and small improvement in basis I would be able to gain 30-40 cents pretty quick. However if it costs me 3-5 cents to move bushels in and out. Plus interest from fall to July I will cost me 15-18 cents. All of a sudden I am left with 10 cent advantage to pay for the bin, taxes, insurance and extra equipment (augers and other items)

Or am I not looking at something correctly?
