Deere6: why would you assume that only a “push” in basis would be the only benefit to be had in paying for a bin? What about the normal improvement in basis before the “push”? What about capturing the carry in futures? All these things add up to much more than a nickel. And that is before any other benefits such as harvest logistics and freedom to use different markets.
