What is acceptable income off rent? If you didn’t have any equipment and had to hire planting, spraying, harvest, etc out so add those custom rates into your inputs...
What do you expect the land to return you? Especially in this past year or this up coming year..

If using custom rates for everything and hiring everything done at those rates, IMO breaking even is a good return, and losing some money is an appropriate return. If there was any money to be made operating that way, some dude in a high rise corner office would be “farming” tens or hundreds of thousands of acres with just a computer and a phone as his farm equipment.
