That’s the beauty of cash rent...he doesn’t have to own it all...just enough.

Cash rent is about what one landlord he/she thinks they can get.

Now, do I blame them for trying to maximize their profit per acre? No.
But a long term relationship can be more beneficial than high cash rent especially if the good years under a crop share tenant outnumber the bad.
