At some point I could see big money, just used CHS as an example since theyre an input supplier, renting large chunks of ground and leasing them to the operator who will do it for cheapest. Then turn around and require that operator to buy the inputs for those farms from them. Basically take the model of the pork industry, but since the main resource (land) is limited, you'll flush the small guys out quickly.
I agree completely. In coup’s senario he requires the farmer to buy his inputs for not only coups ground, but the rest of the ground the farmer operates. Domino effect follows quickly. |
