Reading the thread below made me chuckle a bit for two reasons. First you never know the other guys position. Example I remember years ago hearing a bto made the statement that all he needed to do was profit $5/ac and he was happy. Everyone thought he was nuts, myself included until I heard he was farming over 40,000 acres at the time. 200k a year 20 years ago was living high on the hog so again you never know the other guys position. Second reason I chuckled is I bet 95% of those saying $370 is way too high wouldn't rent there ground out for that so aren't they farming it for that price???
To answer your question Fry I think most guys target $50-100/ac average.
I have 1000 acres of tiled ground here in michigan. Most of it is good stuff for here. I'll take bids tomorrow starting at 370.
