I had a neighbor that wanted to go no till just because it's saved money. But there's a big difference between doing a no-till system and not tilling the soil.

I could easily see a farm that just kept going back and forth corn and soybeans of no-till and the soil getting hard.

The soil was damaged by years of tillage and then you stopped the tillage now the soil is going to show a lot of problems but if you don't fix them problems that's why I was just going to get hard.
