After the input in this thread, spending more time in the pasture with both of these bulls and their cows and looking through the numbers, dilemma is solved: I am going to keep the Hereford 33E and sell the Fleckvieh. I may try an Angus if I can find one with a good DOC epd (along with the other epds that are important in my system) at a reasonable price next time I need to rotate bulls, but for now I'm going to stick with the Hereford 33E pictured in the OP above. I'll have 2 years of F1 calves to watch as they grow. These two Schu-Lar Hereford bulls are looking better every day. I'd hate to sell 33E and find next year that he sired most of my calves and very good ones at that. Since I do not sell calves the hide color dock at the sale barn calf sale is not an issue for me. 33E is also an extremely mellow disposition bull, much more so than the year older Fleck.
