That's got to be an awesome feeling having the kids helping. How many times I spend three times the time doing something just because don't have a second hand when the guys go home. My five year old loves it, hopefully he wants to do it when he grows older. I just need 5 more of him for irrigation!


For several jobs we are still at the point that them doing it takes 3x longer than if I just did it. We’re making progress on running pivots, they should be able to do more next year.

Here’s a pic from this afternoon. You should have seen them when I said that when I was a kid we didn’t have a sweep auger and had to shovel the whole bin. Of course we didn’t have 36’ bins either, but even an 18’ is more shoveling than I want to do anymore.
