Central Missouri | Totally disagree. 17 had to happen. It is a function of the devaluing of the dollar. I have posted many times about the range of price soybeans will trade in for the next 20 years. It is roughly 7 - 18 dollars a bushel on futures. Price will cycle to above 75% of that range probably 4 times in those 20 years. You have to have the knowledge and understand the tools to sell 3 years of production when it does happen . When prices are at the low end to take advantage of the low prices you have to have crop insurance correct, maximize the farm program, earn the carry, and be able to store for more than 12 months. We are in a different part of the commodity cycle than the 6-10 years we just came through.
