Part of the problem is your seed and fertilizer costs are bloated.
I suppose costs vary with area but this is a average of 41 farms so some higher and some are most likely lower but it's a average. I'm sure some put on starter and some top dress going for big yields. Some might also have a custom application charge mixed in with the fert I know that is where my custom fert application charge ends up. Also the 5 year average is higher at 117 than last year at 93
