With 2 combines in the long fields, could you start one combine at each end of the field? That way when cart is empty at far end of field, you get unloaded on from combine A, then run to bag end of field and unload from combine B, then unload cart and then run to far end of the field? Although I think once you get cart unloaded you will have to unload combine B near the bag again then run to far end to get A.

You will almost end up having to unload each combine 2x per round, since it takes too long for a full 2,000 bu cart to unload. We run into this at work with 800 bu cart and 1 16 row combine. If you wait until cart is plumb full, it can't get to the truck, unload and get back before combine is waiting. But if cart takes 2 medium dumps (600 bu maybe) from combine then goes to truck, you can usually get back before combine is using roof for extra hopper space. We are on smaller fields with way more short rows and edges though, so our combine efficiency is not as high as yours.
