I would try making those mile long passes into half that. I've got some fields that could be a mile long but make it so they're half mile passes. That just gets to be too far away when harvesting no matter the grain cart situation.

Two carts would be much more desirable if possible. 1500-2000 bu. is alot of weight to be running all over the place especially if that is the only cart out there and the cart driver is going to be running his tail off trying to keep up with two combines. Also if running two carts if something happens to one tractor or cart at least you have another one going...if you're just running one and something happens to the cart or tractor you're going to come to a standstill.
