Dodge Co, Wi
Not sure if other distro's do it, but Fedora when run as a liveusb (same idea as livecd/dvd) can be made to have a persistent overlay 0-2047MB in size. I just started looking into learning linux for myself and thought, cool, something I can boot from without installing (work computer) and has persistent overlay allowing me to save stuff related to the OS. So my 16GB cruzer micro has FC9 i686 taking up roughly 3GB of space including the 2047MB of overlay I gave it and has 10GB to spare for use as storage. Back to the learning I go.
