My 8 year old nephew got a phone type device with internet access for Christmas last year. He is constantly glued to that thing and has a fit if it is EVER taken from him.
IMO, the worst thing a parent can do is give a child one of these devices with unlimited usage. Flip phone is plenty good. Kick them outside to play.
What age should kids get a phone?
