Good information.

Makes a person wonder what risks are involved with that much foreign debt denominated in dollars. Or in other words, how much exposure does the US banking system have to defaults? Anyone remember the Asian financial crisis?

Lots of moving parts in this world economy and I am not sure if lots of dollar denominated foreign debt is a good thing. It probably is for the lenders till the defaults start.

I do not expect there to be any massive dumping of dollars. It likely will be more of the "death by a thousand cuts" type.
