Possibly but I do not think so.

I think it will be more of an evolution rather than a revolution.

I think it will sneak up on the populace and in a period of ten or so years everyone will wonder why a dollar candy bar now costs two dollars. Why the price of corn, seed, fertilizer, land and everything else has doubled but we still are struggling to make a profit. Meanwhile the poor wage earner wages only go up half as fast while skilled workers that are in demand barely keep up.

That is the way my foggy crystal ball sees it unfolding.
