I think it is going to cause hardships that people never imagined. We have enjoyed some free rides for a long time.

But want it or not want it, it is coming anyway. So a person just as well get used to the idea and any blowback that comes along with loosing majority reserve status. The dollar will be very important likely for a long time to come. It just will not be the only game in town any more. Take a third or half of the world GDP and let it settle in something other than dollars, and it will affect the dollars that we use. The big questions being how much and how soon.
