Iowa
We have the 400 series Double hung. We do have the exchanger. Makes little difference and I keep the humidity under 42% because we have asthmatic kids. These were the best quality windows they made back then. Pine interior to match our trim. The outside of the window itself isn't vinyl, it's their exterior product, Auralast or something. The issues we have are at the base of window on inside where bottom rail closes, dark discoloration, then rotting. Then two have rotted out on the bottom rail of upper window, where the water runs down the pane and drips off the bottom of that pane. It wasn't designed to drip off correctly and was soaked up by the wood underneath. It actually rotted out the sides where the small brackets are where the slide up and down on rails. Barely stayed in place until I got the replacements in. Ridiculous.
