NW Washington | I would not go for high priced triple pane windows. The difference in R value is not that great. Go for "Low E glass" which will reduce radiant heat loses and solar gain from the sun during warm weather. If you have a big "picture" window that is never going to be opened then a fixed pane window might be a good idea.
Water leaking in around poorly flashed window opening is a major problem so make sure your carpenters or window installers know what they are doing and don't cut corners on this job. | |
