If you would have read the next sentence is where i got it from. You know..talking to the hippies. I do know how they wanted things to be raised. Just like there pot they grew. Hand tended and watered. Didnt see any reason we should need herbicides. Just go out and pull the weeds or hoe them. But i guess im clueless oh well.

You basing the organic food movement's mentality on talking to a couple of pot smoking hippies is like me going out to backwoods, Iowa and finding one ignorant guy in coveralls and claiming he represents conventional farmers.

Believe it or not, a lot of consumers who tend toward buying organic food are actually educated, fairly high income group. There is a reason big companies are investing heavily into the organic market. The consumer base has a lot of disposable income.

I'll ask you if you think that a conference like MOSES is a place to learn about the organic movement? It's not just a couple pot smoking hippies, it's thousands of people representing every level of organic production and consumption. It's like going to the NNTC to learn about no-till.

I'm aware that the organic consumer base has a lot of income. You're correct, that's why big companies are investing in it. And that high-income, highly educated, mis-informed, very influential consumer base would like to see conventional agriculture banned. Or, at least, the portion that goes to MOSES and marches against Monsanto would like it banned. Who do you think that Chipotle is marketing to?
