| For the record I have no opinion on this particular topic as of now, I am only hoping to get some others opinions. Recently I attended a meeting of a small group of farmers that represented most of the country. The topic of non gmo/organic farming was brought up. A few within the group grew some non gmo stuff, but no organic. The question was raised "If by participating in the non gmo/organic markets are we projecting the image that we believe there is something wrong with gmo/ non organic cropping practices in the eyes of the non farm public". I thought this would be a non issue and the group would quickly move off this subject with the premise of these crops being value added and grown for the premium , but I was wrong. There was actually some discussion on the topic with varying opinions. Any thoughts? |
