East Central South Dakota | cfdr, bet your an interesting fellow to talk to in the sale barn cafe over a cup of coffee. Sounds like you have some cattle stories. My dad missed the cows something terrible when we sold. I tore out our lots and fences and my dad would have recurrent dreams he bought some cattle and brought them home and all the lots where gone. I never did enjoy the hard work that much. I didn't mind feeding that bad, but calving cows in a decade of historical wet and cold ruined me. I was an enginerring major and when i graduated from college I took my micrometer out and measured that a cows ass was bigger than its mouth and figured I couldn't make any money feeding a cow for 5-6 months this far north. |
