Death comes to us all. Life's but a walking shadow | There was all the talk about a basis cliff last summer. This spring it will be the acres cliff. All those dairy farmers who planted extra corn and soybeans, those fellow who planted corn with no storage and no market plan who are now selling corn out of the field at $100 ton minus trucking. Those acres will vanish like smoke in a stiff breeze.
Those people that talk about 88 million acres planted next year. They'll be luck if there is 82 planted and 75 harvested. |
