Subject: Re: corn piles

South central Minnesota
Year to year mn will produce less this year then last year per the report and far from record yield. Many bins empty here along with no piles and local elevators trying to get something in with offers of low rate drying which ended with the lack of propane and slow rate of drying. What was produced isn't of high quality, test weight much lower then last year and with the variability in moisture across fields might be a troublesome crop to keep in condition. I see this area as a net importer due to all the demand locally as basis is positive already in a year of record production country wide.
