Adams, NE | I was traveling thru central Nebraska on I-80 this weekend. At one point between Aurora and York (prime irrigated corn country), I counted 15 new bins in my 180 degree view looking West. These bins would have held over 1.0 million bushels of corn. The amount of on-farm storage and commercial storage built since we had a strong crop (2009) is very impressive. More storage, with an empty pipeline, inverted markets because of slow selling and a long harvest...you have less piles. Plain and simple. | |
