I think you're right. It's not passing the smell test like someone said in an earlier post. I think these markets know it too. For crying out loud some we're posting 3.00 corn blood in the water and the end of the world and we are just kinda floating now inching our way up in basis and the board. Local elevator uped it's basis another nickel this morning. I'll buy 13 bil but not 14 bil. Have not heard any record breaking crops here lately and there is a lot left out there too go. I'm sure I'm wrong but I just can't wrap my head around a national yield of 160. That means every single clay knob low spot sandy spot in the nation had 160 bu corn across the board and with the weather we had this year all I can say is wow!!! I'm probably wrong but good god if we just have normal weather we would have a 4 billion bu carry out.
