Couple of things I saw this past summer, the inventories of feed at the store seemed low.  The mills ran hard for a couple of weeks to a month filling up the warehouses to 'normal' levels.  Second, the first few loads of corn to each place nothing seemed to matter as to moisture, bu wt, just as long as it would grind.
