Subject: There's enough to make it work.. but 304 was dang tight!!

I need to go back and re-run my burn sheet.. now that we got the numbers.. 511+ myn (add Ky and Tn.. anyone else?  Golly does that make it 515..??) and see where that puts us.. THAT EXPLAINS the basis cliff..  THAT's why things came so unglued.. so fast.. because the Southland switched out of irrigated cotton for the corn $$$..  (can you blame them?)

and then the trade tried to pull the wool over the rest of us..

... sneaky..

It's the truth.. just not ALL of the truth..   "Yal we got 824 myn sitting in a bin...  (in S Texas..)

Now we just need to get the Numbers squared.. and yes.. S Texas will probably harvest some more corn in August of 14.. maybe not as much at $4.76 as they did for.. golly nearby hit $8.00 2nd week of July... THIS YEAR some $3.00 less.. might make a difference this next go around..  ??

edit add:

Found it..   Ky at 247 x 0.01 = 2.5 + Tn @ 130 x 0.02 = 2.6 + 511 = 516

That's it 516 myn bushels harvested before Sept 3rd..  Anyone else..???  So if the 824 number is correct.. then the REAL ending carryout was only.. 304.

"wow."

Edit Corrected:  I must have used planted acreage.. as I cross checked my numbers vs the WASDE production numbers by state.. and that is a little lower.. the harvested percentages are correct.. except for Mississippi which basically are not reported.. they go from 14% reported harvested on August 26th.. to "harvest is basically complete."  by Sept 30th...  so... ???  I could be a little high on them.. ??  Anywho.. I'll chop it down to 35% then..

Al 45 x .06 = 2.7

Ar 155.6 x .24 = 37.3

Ga 84.2 x .53 = 44.6

Ky 247 x .01 = 2.5

La 121 x .74 = 89.5

Ms 146.7 x .35 = 51.3

NC 121.8 x .21 = 25.6

SC 44.2 x .37 = 16.4

Tn 130 x .02 = 2.6

Tx 283 x .59 = 167

So that sums to 439.5 myn bushels..which is closer to that.. "now you see it.. now you don't".. missing stocks number that we come across from time to time.  So just for the record... I wanted to correct this.
