Ludington/Manistee MI area | cprogers6468 - 11/8/2013 14:52 We are trying to combine corn today on our wettest ground, the wind is blowing 30mph, and the ground is just wet. We are compacting the ground horribly and we are no-till...I'm trying NOT to be a know it all 25 year old but the damage we are doing can last a LONG time! My honest opinion he is just chasing his yield monitor like a kid in a new candy store. The weather looks pretty good the next 7 days, I say wait another day and he got really really upset with me. Ha and we just about lost our 2nd tarp on a semi in 7 days...maybe I'm just playing it safe but I do not have a good feeling about this at all!
1) My dad died 4 days after my 1st birthday never even really got to know him so cherish the time you have.
2) If you know so much farm on your own while your still smart.
3) My grandfather is 98 he is the most rushed and hurried person I ever met.
4) Ground dries out very slow this time of the year waiting a day or two won't do very much.
5) I very rarely regret pushing it and having things done sooner than later. |
Need to vent about my dad a little.
