| Been where you are now. I am 49 and my dad is 81. He now has alzheimers and can not even get out of the chair on his own some days. His days of being out in the field are over. Last year he was driving my combine and was not watching the temp. gauge. Radiator had a small leak. He did not notice until the combine died. Ruined the motor. Luckily I had a spare from my parts combine. Looking at him now, that ruined motor means nothing compared to what he is going through. This is the first year that he cannot work on the farm and I really miss him already. We have had our disagreements in the past but none of that matters now. Enjoy him while you can. | |
