I guess you get used to the conditions you live in. We feel lucky we dont get tornadoes and extreme winters lol. Floods and droughts and bushfires are the nature of this country but I can't imagine sub zero temps for months and having to hand feed cattle through winter. (I have been through Canada in August and loved it).
Having said that I have lost livestock and crops due to floods and bushfires, and lost crops due to drought but I keep doing it, I must be nuts.
