| Saw an item on the TV news tonight about the storms down there, they said there was even tornados in that system, pretty rare down there, I expect.
We use a similar method here to collect rainwater off the roof of the house. The water is held in a concrete cistern buried in the ground (gets a bit colder here), about 10,000 Imp. gal. Most years it doesn't provide enough but the past 3 or so we've had enough rain to keep it full in the summer.
