| In Missouri, CC holders are not allowed to enter drinking establishments that dispense alcohol for consumption on the premises, which portion is primarily devoted to that purpose. However, those provisions do not apply to restaurants open to the general public having dining facilities that receives at least fifty-one percent of its gross annual income from the dining facilities by the sale of food.
So unless your family's tavern was the typical neighborhood Applebee’s restaurant, people would not have been allowed to carry a concealed weapon there. Also it is an instant felony for a CCW holder to be caught intoxicated with a loaded weapon. Needless to say, people with CCW's will/should distance themselves from alcohol while they are carrying their weapon(s).
