I've never had any problems entering US; just be ready with purpose and where you are headed. Returning home usually isn't much of a hassle, since we don't bring back cigarettes or booze. Car is loaded with groceries, only once has an agent went through the bags.

Totally agree with you, Thud, on the female gender being the pickiest. My wife even agrees; 'her time of the month'-- her words; after I started letting her drive to the border.
