Subject: Re: good/bad experiences crossing US/Canada border

Near-north Ontario, French River
I've never really had any issues but there's been more then one case over the years where RV's or campers were literally torn apart and when they found nothing the border folks just walked away leaving everything dismantled. I have found that US guards tend to be more arrogant, while on the Canadian side they can just be 'donkeys.'( read between the lines lol) US side will ask why I entering, how long I'm staying etc,,, really nothing special about the questions but the way the are asked make an honest guy feel like a crook. Same thing on the Canadian side only you don't feel like a crook, you just drive away thinking "that guy's a complete and utter idiot".. FWIW women guards on both sides seem to be the worst, almost like they are out to prove something.
