St. Charles, MO & Piper City, IL
One thing I learnt when crossing was that while your in the border area your in limbo between countries and virtually anything goes. They do not have to repair or replace anything after a search. Clossed once hauling equipment with another driver following. I made it through but he got detained for 2 days. Come to find out his ex wife turned him in for carrying drugs. Tore down his load, 2 Deere backhoes. Never found anything. Was released and he delivered the load in pieces dealer took it. Never did hear who ate that bill. No legal recourse on either side.
