SE IA | I didn't read all the responses but here is my take. For part time seasonal help that may or may not be back the next year I give them a 1099 but make sure I have workers comp to cover any injuries. If you are working on a pretty regular basis and this is a major part of your income I would talk to the guy and ask him to withhold taxes which would mean he also pays his half of the FICA. | |
