David you have the law on your side, but you probably will be looking for another job if you push it. And you should. People that try to get by with this only kid themselves. The biggest risk to your employer is, that you get hurt on the job and require medical care. Who is going to pay ? If you don't have insurance and Workers Comp enters the picture and I promise they will. At that time your working relationship , with your employer will be under review by them. At that point he will be liable for all your medical bills and penalized for how ever long he had been trying to skirt the law. I can't think of a quicker way to lose the farm then this. You sound like your pretty level headed , you need to find a boss that understands what a employers resonsibility is to his/her employees. Look for another job. Fellow NATers correct me if my interpatation of Workers Comp is wrong.
