Was involved in a similar situation a few years ago but everything was up front in the beginning. We we had the choice of me being full time, part time or contract. I ended up being part time in the end but I could have came out ok being contract as well becuase of all the deductions possible on my end. Thats someting you should really talk to a tax person about too.
