Subject: RE: impact of fall N on the decomposition of corn stover

Central Iowa
It's an "AMS like" product. We use a similar product from a corn milling outfit. Our analysis is 6.5% N and 4% S. I have personally seen the effects of applying AMS in the fall beside not applied. It definitely has an effect on carbon breakdown and is usually visible. How it affects early season nitrogen cycling can be debated but we have had very good luck with fall applications.
