Turn signals don't mean much.  I hog the road when I'm wide and pull over to let people pass when it's safe for everyone.  Do the same thing on left turns, too many people just don't pay attention.  Actually got sideswiped by a school bus last fall moving a combine when they passed and pulled back in too soon.  Bus driver didn't know it and kept going, had to call into the barn to let them know.  Luckily just a little paint scuff...
