Subject: Beating a dead horse here, farm machinery and cars

Amherst WI
Why is it all traffic laws and common sense go right out the window when a car meets farm machinery?

I was moving my 7810 and Bluejet nitorgen sidedresser last night at about 6:45. I got turned my left turn signal on, got to the stop sign and as I was turning some baffon decides to make the left turn with me. I couldn't beleive it, I didn't know he was even behind me until he was by my step. Who in their right mind would do this?

The intersection was flat and had hay fields all around it so you can see for at least a 1/2 mile in each direction and not another car in sight. There is no reason he couldn't have made the turn 5 seconds after I made it on the road I turned on. I know he was busy on his cell phone, but he did have the time to flip me off after he passed me.

He must of wanted to get to his next 4th of July party before all the taco dip was gone.

A question for the older fella's too, has this gotten worse over the years?
