nc ks | I am making no judgment against individual farmers, but I think there should be no PP provision. You can almost always switch crops and plant something. It seems that it starts to be a numbers crunching thing and some would rather take PP than bust there onions to get something out and try to grow a crop. At the very least, it should be so hard to collect on PP that it takes something like the Missouri River hardship to collect. Being slightly difficult and slightly late should not qualify for not planting a crop. If there is the same crop planted next to the field in question, that should automatically disqualify the claim. Some operators will spend their hard earned money to make sure they can get everything planted, why should they be penalized because others spend their money on pickup instead? | |
