If the guy planted his other acres but it got to June 5 he doesnt have to plant corn plain and simple.(if others are planting into the late plant period that is their choice but not his obligation) He pays his premium and they take the risk - that's how it is supposed to work. The idea is to give him the option at that late date to plant or not. What about the guy who does plant late and gets a poor crop, should he be uninsured because he didnt get it done early enough? | |
