ECIL | I once had a '74 Dodge Dart that died one evening as I was trying to get home. As luck would have it a Mopar mechanic had just got home from work and was able to take a look at the car. Apparently the ceramic resistor that was common on Mopar vehicles back then had gone out. He didn't have one but I happened to have 50 ft. of speaker wire in the trunk. We hooked it in place of the resistor and I was able to drive the 150 miles back home. I put another 200 miles on it after that before replacing the resistor. The wire had enough resistance to work. | |
