York, NE | Dad had a Ford truck with a Cat 3208. The return spring broke so he had instant cruise without being able to slow it down . He hooked a wire to where the broken spring had been. Then he took his bootlace and tied the accelerator pedal to his boot so he could limp to town and replace the spring. Mechanic said that was the best cobble job he had ever seen. Thank goodness he didn't have to drive on the highway or get stopped by DOT. | |
